In 2003 the Woodshield post was selected for Coastal Protection fencing by the SA local Govt of the Eyre Peninsula. They were looking at a revegetation project and wanted a product that would last the distance under varying conditions.
Salt water, high wind, extreme sun and heat etc. The posts were installed in 2004 and 9 years on they are still looking great.
The plastic encasement of the non-treated pine has shown no deterioration at all and the only blemish you will see are the bird droppings!!
